Police are hoping the public can help identify multiple suspects involved in an alleged attempted robbery and assault on the CPR pedestrian bridge on May 18.

Police said shortly after 7 p.m. a female and male were approached by a group of six females and two males.

During a physical altercation, one of the females in the group attempted to take the female victim’s purse but was unsuccessful. The group left the scene shortly afterward, and police were called.

Police conducted patrols but could not locate the group.

Officers on the scene noticed a large amount of foot traffic in the area and would like to speak with anyone that witnessed the incident.

Police said two of the female suspects may be mother and daughter and are described as being in their late 20s, and late 40s or early 50s. A third female was described as tall with a heavy build and wearing blue camouflage clothing.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
