Members of the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team went to the location and the driver fled on foot, but was arrested, following a short foot pursuit.

A 40-year-old man, of no fixed addressed was arrested, remanded into custody, and charged with resisting arrest, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of identity documents, and 10 outstanding warrants.

The crime reduction team also recovered a stolen Mitsubishi Eclipse while conducting patrols at about 6:09 p.m. in the Bower area. Officers observed the vehicle’s driver driving dangerously in a local parking lot (not the Bower Place parking lot.)

A 29-year-old man, of Red Deer, was arrested, remanded into custody, and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, two counts of failure to comply with release order, and multiple offences under the Traffic Safety Act.
