A Johnstone resident, who only recently set up security video cameras at her home, said she captured much of the police activity, and was very curious to find out what happened.

She said several police vehicles sped onto Jennings Crescent. Four ambulances and police dogs also attended the scene.

“It was pretty intense. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s like a movie,” said the resident who has since watched her video.

She said she saw three ambulances leave with their emergency lights flashing.

Police set up roadblocks and eventually officers expanded their investigation closer to her home.

“I had dogs right in front of my window. (Police) were obviously looking for someone. You can see them running on camera.”

She said officers were searching fields and bushes with flashlights. At about 9:30 a.m. a few police vehicles were still in the area and the neighbourhood was very quiet.

“My neighbours are not outside. It’s a ghost town over here.”
