Guns and drugs were seized and a man and woman were arrested following a Red Deer RCMP investigation.
Police were investigating a stolen vehicle in the Eastview area of Red Deer on Wednesday. When the vehicle stopped at a residence, police arrested the occupants.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers seized a rifle, a shotgun, identification cards, credit cards and other stolen property and drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Christopher Phillips, 42, and Amber Knickle, 20, both of Red Deer, are facing a number of charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, resisting a police/peace officer and 17 firearm-related offences.
They are both scheduled to appear in court Monday.
