The Red Deer Rebels and Books on the Bus are set to host their annual book drive at a home game next week.
Volunteers will be at the Westerner Park Centrium on Feb. 5 to accept donations of new and gently used adult paperback book, and hardcover and paperback children’s books.
Books on the Bus is a program of mobile free libraries on Red Deer Transit and BOLT buses that function to allow passengers who might not be able to get to the public library to access reading materials.
Anyone not attending the hockey game can still donate books at any city recreation centre, City Hall and Sorenson Station.
Large volume donations can be taken to the Cosmos Karma Cafe.
