The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation Lottery Dream Home opens Friday.

The grand-prize Dream Home, located at 68 Larratt Close and built by Sorento Custom Homes, is a 3,110 sq. ft. bungalow valued at $840,000.

Over 21 years, the Red Deer Hospital Lottery has raised over $8.5 million for local health care improvements.

All proceeds of this year’s lottery will fund the purchase of Pyxis Medstations for the Red Deer hospital. These automated medication dispensing units will be placed in emergency, the intensive care unit, operating room, recovery room, Unit 22 (cardiology), and other critical care areas.

The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation applauds the Society for Hospital Expansion in Central Alberta (SHECA) for their push to for the redevelopment of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

Until that redevelopment becomes a reality, the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation is encouraging Central Albertans to “Rally Together” for the continued enhancement of health care equipment by supporting the lottery and other fundraisers.
