The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation has a new chief executive officer.

Manon Therriault, who has been with the foundation for nine months, took over the role from Iaian Park as CEO Tuesday. Park served as CEO since 2014.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be a part of this community,” Therriault said. “I’m so inspired and humbled by the generosity this community shows every single day. It’s pushing me to do great things with the foundation.”

Therriault is originally from Ontario and moved to Central Alberta about two years ago.

Foundation staff has been very welcoming, Therriault said.

“I’m pretty familiar with the way we do things and I’m excited to get to the next level.

“When I moved here the foundation was excited about seeing the different ways we can fundraise,” she said. “I’m really excited to bring what I’ve learnt over the years to this foundation.”

Therriault has been in the fundraising industry for “her entire life,” she said. She said she hopes to bring in new fundraisers to compliment the already successful ones, such as the Festival of Trees, the hospital lottery and the annual golf tournament.
