The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance has received a $3,500 grant to tell the story of the Red Deer River watershed.

The alliance will use the grant from the Red Deer & District Community Foundation for its new project, Using Science and Storytelling to Spur Watershed Action.

Science-based messages will complement the stories to make it easier for central Albertans to learn about and engage with water and land use issues.

The alliance is a not-for-profit organization that works to promote proper management of water resources across the Red Deer River watershed.

The Red Deer & District Community Foundation is the only local charity focused on creating and building permanent endowment that serves central Alberta.
