Dozens of students at École La Prairie shared some love with Red Deer seniors this Valentine’s Day.

Grade 1 and 3 students sent out Valentine’s Day cards to share with seniors at Barrett Kiwanis Place, a retirement home located across the street from the school. On Friday, Grade 1 students delivered the sanitized cards.

The school said the seniors surprised the students and staff in return.

“They offered a beautiful big Valentine card signed by every senior at Barrett,” the school said in an email.
