The dining section of a Red Deer Tim Hortons restaurant was closed on Monday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
A sign posted in the door Monday said the dining room was closed due to an “evolving health situation.”
In a brief statement, the restaurant said Tuesday, the Tim Hortons media team said a team member was tested positive for the virus on Nov. 29. Their last shift at the restaurant was on Nov. 24.
The drive-thru at 3020 22nd St. restaurant remained open and was busy Monday.
“Following the public health guidelines, the restaurant was closed for cleaning and sanitization and re-opened Nov. 30,” the statement said.
