The owners and operators of Les’ Trailer Court have been ordered by the province to cease unauthorized groundwater withdrawals.

The owners and operators of Les’ Trailer Court have been ordered by the province to cease unauthorized groundwater withdrawals.

The Alberta government has issued an enforcement order under both the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and the Water Act for unauthorized groundwater withdrawals and approval contraventions at the mobile home court located just west of Red Deer on Burnt Lake Trail.

Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development and Alberta Health Services have been working with Brero Holdings Ltd. and Robert Bresciani, owners and operators of Les’ Trailer Court, to bring the drinking water and wastewater systems into compliance.

Under the order, Brero Holdings and Bresciani have three options to come into compliance for drinking water. All options ensure that the owner provides a safe source of drinking water for the trailer court residents.

Brero Holdings and Bresciani must advise government of their intention to abide by one of the three options by Dec. 6.
