Red Deer Transit is extending its hours and offering free fares for voters on federal election day.

All transit routes will run until 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 20 and the Dynamic Shuttle Service will begin operating at 9 p.m.

“Thousands of people rely on Red Deer Transit every day to get around the city,” said Trever Sparrow, Red Deer Transit superintendent. “If we can eliminate one of the barriers that might keep someone from being able to vote, then we want to do that.”

Red Deer Transit routes and schedules are available online at www.reddeer.ca/transit or by downloading the MyBus app.

Anyone needing assistance planning their route, can call Red Deer Transit at 403-342-8225.
