A Red Deer woman is facing charges after allegedly being in possession of drugs, a Taser and pepper spray.

Fort Saskatchewan RCMP observed a vehicle not complying with vehicle equipment regulations this past Sunday.

Following a traffic stop, officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Red Deer the previous day. The occupants were then arrested.

A Taser, pepper spray and a “small amount of methamphetamine” were seized following a search of the vehicle, said police.

Angela Hasnip, 28, of Red Deer, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

She was released from custody and is set to appear in court in Fort Saskatchewan on July 9.
