Red Deerians to protest K-6 draft curriculum Saturday

Red Deer will be one of several Alberta cities where people can protest the K-6 draft curriculum Saturday.

The Ditch the Draft Curriculum Protest will be held at Red Deer-North MLA Adriana LaGrange’s office at 5913 50 Ave. from noon to 2 p.m.

There will also be protests held in Edmonton, Calgary, Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge.

This Ditch the Draft Protest “will highlight how the 2021 draft K-6 curriculum will impact our children’s and province’s future for years to come and why there needs to be a complete moratorium on this draft,” organizers said in a press release last week.
