Ghosts and ghouls will haunt Fort Normandeau this Friday and Saturday when two Halloween events will serve up tricks as well as treats.
Family Fright Night promises to be fun and only mildly spooky for the younger set. A scavenger hunt will run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on both nights. Kids can collect clues and hear some ghost stories.
The Festival of Fright will ramp up the scares for youths age 14 and up. There will be escape rooms and more during two start times — 8:30 p.m. or 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Jump scares will be part of the fun — but anyone adverse to being startled will be given garlic cards to hold up to keep the monsters at bay.
These are mostly outdoor events, so dress for the weather. No proof of vaccines are required for outdoor games, but optional indoor events (incl. escape rooms) will fall under the Registered Exemption Program and will require vaccination proof.
Costumes are encouraged. The cost is $20 per family or $15 per youth. Pre-register at www.waskasoopark.ca.
