Helping Red Deerians with their spring cleaning, Kick it to the Curb returns this weekend.

On June 10 and 11, residents can place unwanted items at the curb and mark them as free so others can find a new life for them. The City encourages people to try to repurpose unwanted goods in the hopes they will find new homes.

The Waskasoo Environmental Education Society will also hold their Trash to Treasure Swap Meet over the weekend. From Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Kerry Wood Nature Centre, 6300 45th Ave., the meet will take place. On Friday, people can bring in their usable unwanted items. Then on Saturday and Sunday, people can browse what’s available. Leftover items will be donated to local charities.
