Red Deer’s Youth and Volunteer Centre celebrates 40 years with an open house

New brand, future plans to be revealed on Friday

Future growth plans and a new logo will be revealed at the 40th-anniversary celebration of the Youth and Volunteer Centre in Red Deer.

An open house will be held Friday from noon to 3 p.m. at the centre, 4633-49th St. All are welcome to the free event, and refreshments will be provided.

At 1:30 p.m., the organization’s new brand will be revealed, as well as plans for future growth. Area residents can also learn more about the programs provided at the Youth and Volunteer Centre, and ways to get involved.

The centre offers program through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Red Deer, The Boys and Girls Club of Red Deer and District, the 49th-Street Youth Shelter, and Camp Alexo. The Youth and Volunteer Centre provides opportunities for more than 1,700 children/youth annually to develop greater confidence and life skills through more knowledge, healthier relationships and quality experiences.
