Central Albertans will pay their respects to the soldiers who have lost their lives at Remembrance Day ceremonies on Friday.
The Red Deer Legion Branch #35 will host its annual ceremony at Servus Arena at 10:30 a.m.
Here are some of the other Remembrance Day ceremonies happening throughout central Alberta:
- Blackfalds – Abbey Centre at 10:45 a.m. (there will be a brief ceremony at the cenotaph following the service)
- Caroline – Nazarene Church at 9:50 a.m. and Legion at 10:50 a.m.
- Delburne – Delburne Community Hall at 10:30 a.m.
- Eckville – Eckville Community Hall at 10:45 a.m.
- Innisfail – Innisfail Cenotaph at 10:30 a.m.
- Lacombe – Lacombe Memorial Centre at 10:30 a.m.
- Olds – Ralph Klein Centre Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. (there will be a brief ceremony at cenotaph in Centennial Park following the service)
- Ponoka – Legion Auditorium at 10:45 a.m. (there will be a parade from ATCO Gas to the Legion Cenotaph at 10:15 a.m.)
- Rimbey – Peter Lougheed Community Centre at 10:45 a.m.
- Rocky Mountain House – Lou Soppit Community Centre at 10:40 a.m.
- Sylvan Lake – Fox Run/Mother Teresa Catholic School at 10:30 a.m.
