Ribfest is coming to Red Deer

In support of Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter

The first Shelter Ribfest for the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter will be held at Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza from Sept. 13 to 15.

Five rib teams from across Canada and the United States will be serving up their barbecue smoked ribs.

On-site activities will include live entertainment, a kids play area and additional food options, including fresh-cut fries, mini doughnuts and cold beer.

Admission is free, but a $2 donation at the gate would be appreciated. All proceeds will support the women’s emergency shelter.

Street parking will be available and the event is wheelchair accessible.
