A central Alberta school bus driver earned a second place trophy at the International Safety Competition held in Texas last week.
Dodo Freerksen works as a spare driver out of Rimbey for First Student transportation in Wolf Creek Public Schools and Wild Rose Public Schools.
He has competed at the international level before, but has never achieved a spot in the top 10 prior to this event.
Freerksen placed first in the small bus category at the Alberta Provincial School Bus Roadeo held in Red Deer.
