Workers demolish the old swimming pool building in Rimbey this week as part of an approximately $2.8-million project to upgrade and expand the 40-year-old recreation facility. Included in the plans are a leisure pool, junior Olympic-sized pool, waterslide, spray park and change rooms. Scott Builders of Red Deer is the contractor for the project, which should be completed by next year.
