Rimbey RCMP are looking for three men in their teens to 20s after a man was assaulted and slashed with a knife by three strangers on his rural property near Rimbey.

Rimbey RCMP are looking for three men in their teens to 20s after a man was assaulted and slashed with a knife by three strangers on his rural property near Rimbey.

The incident occurred on Aug. 12 at around 4 p.m.

The victim was approached by the men and suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries from the assault. Police said the victim has been co-operative but to date no motive has been established for the attack.

The vehicle the men were driving is described as a red, four-door truck, quad cab with a short box. The truck had fancy wheels and noticeable chrome on the front of the vehicle.

One suspect is described as in his mid-20s or slightly older and a Caucasian male, who was heavy set. At the time, he was wearing a black or dark blue shirt with an emblem on it, blue jeans, a hat and sunglasses.

The second suspect was described as being in his late teens or early 20s, with blond hair over his ears. He was wearing a ball cap, sunglasses, a black shirt and baggy blue jeans.

The third suspect was a male in his late teens or early 20s, Caucasian, with curly blond hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a T-shirt and jeans at the time of the incident.
