Red Deer motorists should expect delays with road closures in the north and south ends of the city.

Drivers can expect hold-ups along 60 St., between 52 and 54 Ave., next week.

Starting at 7 a.m. on May 25, 60 St. will be closed as Environmental Services crews work to install new services in the area. The work is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. on May 27.

Traffic delays are also expected to start next week on 32 St., east of Gaetz Avenue.

Also on May 25, the south eastbound lane and south turning lane will be closed as crews install new storm services for the southeast corner of Gaetz and 32 St. This work is also expected to wrap up by May 27.

But starting on May 27, 49 Ave. will be closed between 32 St. and Gaetz Avenue, as water and sewer services are installed. This work is expected to be completed on June 4.

Pedestrians and drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
