Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta will host four tournaments this summer to create awareness and raise funds for families with sick children.

The first event of the summer will be June 18 in Red Deer at Alberta Springs Golf Resort. They will also have events in Cold Lake (June 19), Grande Prairie (June 21) and Canmore (June 24).

The tournament will follow a tee time format, limiting the number of people on the course at one time and allowing for foursomes to be spaced out evenly.

“Golf is a very popular activity and has only grown in popularity as Covid-19 has led many to explore the courses in our beautiful province,” says Jason Evanson, CEO of RMHC Alberta. “We are already seeing a couple of the tournaments near capacity.

The opportunity to offer this safe event and raise funds in uncertain times is a real positive for our mission.”

Tournament details are subject to change due to provincial government guidelines and local public health restrictions, and in alignment with the protocols of each golf venue.
