Ross Street and 30th Avenue in Red Deer to remain closed until Thursday morning

Traffic disruptions at Ross Street and 30th Avenue have been extend for another day.

Motorists and pedestrians were advised traffic disruptions at Ross (50th) Street at 30 Avenue for paving were to end and the interesction to reopen to traffic on Wednesday.

But the closure now needs to be extended to 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route, if possible.

Signs are in place notifying motorists of the intersection closure, and a flag person is directing traffic.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs when driving in construction zones. Pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.
