A busy portion of Ross Street will be closed on Monday to allow city crews to shut off utility services to two vacant buildings that are slated for demolition.

Motorists are advised of an upcoming road closure on Ross (50th) Street between 50th Avenue and 51st Avenue so crews can shut off utility services to the former Buffalo Hotel and Club Café.

Starting at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, all three lanes of 50 Street will be closed between 50th Avenue and 51st Avenue until the evening when the two north lanes will reopen to traffic. The south lane and south parking spaces will remain closed until Wednesday evening.

Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes. They are also reminded to slow down when in construction areas. Pedestrians should cross only at designated crosswalks.

This work is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change. For more information about road closures, visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
