A moment of silence to honour those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings will be observed at Running Rooms across Canada tonight.
Jennifer Phillips, co-manager of the Red Deer Running Room, said runners will take a minute before tonight’s weekly run to honour the victims of Monday’s tragedy.
“We’re dedicating our runs to the people of Boston,” said Phillips.
The moment of silence is scheduled for around 6 p.m. The Running Room is located at 12004 50th Ave.
Twin explosions near the iconic marathon’s finish line killed three people and injured more than 170.
