RCMP charged two 17-year-old male youths after two men, age 20 and 24, were injured during an incident on Saturday.

Maskwacis RCMP responded to a complaint at approximately 4:30 a.m., and found both victims suffering from stab wounds after an altercation at a residence on the reserve.

One 17-year-old male is charged with the attempted murder of the 20-year-old male victim. He is also charged with the aggravated assault of the 24-year-old victim, as well as possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, and breach of probation.

The other 17-year-old male is charged with the attempted murder of the 20-year-old male victim. He is also charged with the aggravated assault of the 24-year-old victim, as well as also being charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, and break and enter to commit an indictable offence.

Both victims are in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries and are being treated in Edmonton.

The youths have been remanded into custody and will appear in Wetaskiwin youth court on Wednesday.
