Emergency crews respond to an accident at Taylor Drive and 32 Street Thursday morning.

A public school bus was involved in a collision at 32nd Street and Taylor Drive on Thursday morning.

There were no injuries in the two-vehicle collision, despite the fact there were students in the Prairie Bus Lines vehicle on their way to West Park Elementary at the time.

The other vehicle involved received substantial damage to its front-end, and the corner of the front end on the bus was slightly caved in.

The students were picked up by another bus and taken to school, said Bruce Buruma, director of community relations for Red Deer Public Schools. Parents were notified of the collision.

Traffic was tied up at the busy intersection as Red Deer City RCMP and fire-medics cleaned the scene up and removed the damaged vehicles.

RCMP Const. Sabrina Grunow said the cause of the collision was unknown and police were still investigating.
