A teen on a group camping trip who wandered from his site is being sought by Rocky Mountain House police.
A group from Maskwacis was on a canoe trip and stopped to camp at the Saunders Recreation Area, about 60 km west of Rocky Mountain House.
Police were notified at about 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday that a 15-year-old male had left the camping area and had not returned.
According to a release from Rocky RCMP, the youth went to his tent and when supervisors checked on him they discovered he had packed his things and left.
A Calgary Police Service helicopter assisted the evening search on Tuesday.
Search and Rescue, RCMP police dog services and an RCMP jet boat are searching for the youth.
