Second bank robbed; suspect being sought

Police are looking for a suspect in the robbery of the Bower Place Alberta Treasury Branch Friday afternoon.

Police are looking for a suspect after a second bank in Red Deer was robbed this week.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, Red Deer RCMP were called to the Alberta Treasury Branch at Bower Place to a report of robbery. They said a suspect left the bank on foot headed westbound from the bank near the intersection of Gaetz Avenue and Molly Banister Drive.

Police describe the suspect as a male Caucasian about 1.65 metres (five foot five) tall and weighs about 79 kg (175 pounds). He has pale skin with flushed red cheeks and was seen wearing a jacket, sunglasses and hat.

On Wednesday, the RBC at 6791 50th St. was robbed. Police are also looking for a suspect in that robbery.
