A loaded, semi-automatic rifle and methamphetamine were seized by police after a man was spotted asleep in the front seat of a vehicle in Red Deer County on Friday morning.
Innisfail RCMP say a patrol officer reported a firearm in the backseat of the vehicle.
Police later seized a sawed-off, SKS rifle loaded with 32 rounds of ammunition and seven grams of methamphetamine from the vehicle.
Keira Vandervliet, 38, of Innisfail, has been charged with possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of methamphetamine, among other offences.
Vandervliet was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court July 24.
