Seven central Alberta charities have received grants from the Red Deer and District Community Foundation this season.

“With these grants, we empower our charitable partners to build a vibrant and healthy community, while delivering programs and services that benefit all central Albertans,” stated the foundation.

The 2021 spring grants, made possible by endowments from donations, are:

-Mountain Bluebird Nest Box Camera Pilot Study, Ellis Bird Farm, $6,000

-Fee Assistance Program, Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre, $3,000

-Emergency Boarding & Pet Food Bank, Central Alberta Humane Society, $10,000

-Equipment & Software for Capacity Building, Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Region, $7,000

-Part-Time Fund Development/Operations Coordinator, Dress for Success, $30,000

-The Hub 2.0 Programming, Red Deer Arts Council, $10,000

-Slack Slough Conservation Buffer-Mills, Legacy Land Trust, $18,000
