CALGARY — Charges have been laid against a man accused of lifting the dress of a five-year-old girl outside a Calgary townhouse.

Police say three children were playing in the courtyard Monday when a man got out of a vehicle and approached them.

He allegedly lifted the child’s dress after shooing the other children away.

The girl was not harmed.

Police say the man fled on foot when he was chased by an area resident but was arrested about three hours later.

Hector Santos, 37, of Calgary is facing several charges, including sexual assault and sexual interference with a child under 16.
