Shooting in Eckville under investigation

Two people are being treated for serious injuries after a shooting near Eckville on Wednesday.

Two people are being treated for serious injuries after a shooting near Eckville on Wednesday.

RCMP K Division Cpl. Sharon Franks confirmed there was a shooting near the community around 9 p.m.

Details are few as police are currently investigating. The police investigator is currently on his way to Sylvan Lake from Calgary.

But Franks confirmed two people were sent to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

No police officers were injured.

More details are expected later today.
