Shots fired at central Alberta home

Gun shots were fired at a rural central Alberta home Sunday, when a 59-year-old man was targeted.

Gun shots were fired at a rural central Alberta home Sunday, when a 59-year-old man was targeted.

Olds RCMP responded to a complaint of shots being fired through a window and wall of the rural home near Eagle Hill at 4:40 a.m.

The sole occupant in the home told police he was awake in his living room when he saw vehicle headlights approaching on the roadway. Moments later, he heard several gun shots.

RCMP later confirmed the residence had been struck by gun fire. No injuries were reported.

Police believe the victim was targeted and said there is no indication of a risk to the public.
