Two Shriners chapters in Alberta will go head-to-head, as the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers do the same over the next several weeks.

With the Al Azhar Shriners of Southern Alberta Flames and the Al Shamal Shriners of Northern Alberta backing the Oilers, the two groups will raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children– Canada.

For each goal scored by their team, the group will donate $1,000.

After one game, the Shriners of Southern Alberta will have already pledged $9,000, after the Flames won 9-6 in Game 1 of the best-of-seven NHL Western Conference semifinal.
