Skydivers raising money, awareness for children with cancer

Jump for a Cure takes place at the Innisfail Airport on Thursday

Ten Albertans will skydive to raise money and awareness for children with cancer.

The skydivers will participate in a tandem jump from 13,000 feet at Alberta Skydive Central, located at the Innisfail Airport, at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Money raised through Jump for a Cure will go toward Kids Cancer Care’s therapeutic, recreational and educational online and in-person programs.

“Fundraising is tough right now because everyone is hurting. I applaud them for taking action – especially in these challenging times,” said Christine McIver, founder and CEO of Kids Cancer Care.

In keeping with provincial health guidelines, guests will be wearing masks and maintain a safe physical distance from others.
