Points West Living senior assisted living facility in Red Deer is experiencing another COVID-19 outbreak.
Alberta Health declared an outbreak at the facility on Aug. 23 after a worker and a resident in Phase II of the building tested positive for the virus on Aug. 19.
Those two cases put seven residents in isolation.
Unrelated to those two cases, an employee has also tested positive in Phase 1 of the building, which opened earlier this year. Overall, Points West Living has 139 residents and 120 employee care partners.
The facility also had an outbreak of COVID-19 in December when it had 40 cases, including 19 in residents and 21 employees.
