Painstakingly working with a tiny needle and thread of silk, Marie Xaing works on a progressive silk embroidery in an art form that dates back 2,500 years ago in China. Originally from Sichuan, China the Edmonton artist is attending the 10th Annual Lacombe Art Exhibit and Sale at the Memorial Centre this weekend. Featuring 38 exhibitors, 17 gallery artists and 20 student artists the show has something for everyone. The show and sale continues today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
