The recent snow has put an end to a fire advisory in the Rocky Mountain House forest area.

The wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is now rated as low.

Since March 1, there have been 16 wildfires in the area, burning a total of 7.12 hectares. They have all been extinguished.

There are currently 15 wildfires across the province. One of these wildfires is being held, nine are under control and five have been turned over to the responsible party.

Since March 1, there have been 125 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) in the province, burning a total of 116.1 ha. The five-year average for this time period is 105 wildfires, burning 269.04 ha.
