Snow on the way for Red Deer

Snow is in forecast today for Red Deer, with a mix of snow and rain on Saturday.

The city could see about two cm of snow, and a high of -1 C on Friday. Periods of snow should end late in the afternoon, according to Environment Canada.

A 30 km/h south wind will gust to 50 km/h, and the -18 windchill in the morning will improve to -9 C in the afternoon.

Tonight will be mainly cloudy, clearing overnight, with a temperature of -3 C.

Saturday has a 60 per cent chance of rain in the late morning and early afternoon, then a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the afternoon.
