Snow is heading towards central Alberta and should arrive on Friday.
On Thursday, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement about a pacific low forecast expected to move through central British Columbia Thursday night, and track across south-central Alberta on Friday.
Red Deer could receive 10 cm of snow by Friday afternoon, with north winds gusting up to 50 km/h by late morning. The wind chill will reduce temperatures to -8 C.
Snow is expected to continue Friday night, with a low of -11 C.
