Some new candidates enter the federal election race in central Alberta

Green Party, NDP and Maverick Party announce candidates

More local federal election candidates have been announced for the Red Deer area.

Harry Joujan will represent the Red Deer-Lacombe riding for the Maverick Party.

Joujan is a businessman who’s owned retail stores in the north and in Medicine Hat before moving to Red Deer two years ago. He’s concerned about the “bulging” budget and “breakneck spending” and intends to fight for regional autonomy for Western Canada.

The federal New Democrat Party has announced Marie Grabowski as its candidate for Red Deer-Mountain View. According to the daveberta.ca website, Grabowski is a medical laboratory technologist who is on the executive for the Red Deer and District Labour Council.
