Some Red Deer north residents asked to stay inside due to heavy smoke from fire

City of Red Deer to provide further instructions

City of Red Deer is asking Oriole Park residents to stay indoors until further notice.

The advisory comes due to the commercial fire on Golden West Avenue and the heavy smoke in some parts of the city.

Some residents on O’Brien Crescent and O’Neil Close have been evacuated by emergency personnel. There are no reported injuries.

City advises to go inside or stay inside, close windows and doors, turn off air intake into your home and wait for further instructions.
