The Dome Sports is blowing up and will be soon visible all passing Red Deer on QE II highway.

The Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce says Dome Sports will provide a positive impact on many throughout central Alberta and will focus on developing youth athletes, hosting events and providing a major gathering space for the community to celebrate sport.

The staff members and volunteers have completed around 75 per cent of the 107,000 square foot structure, which is now laid out. The inflation of the dome is scheduled for Friday and will stand 80 feet tall creating a space for a multitude of sports.

The Dome Sports is a state of the art, multi sport indoor training facility, offering individual skill development, coaching from professional staff and on-site team training.

Primary focus is off season skill development for (but not limited to) non-winter sport athletes. Similar facilities have been developed and utilized throughout the United States in order to focus on the advancement of youth athletes to pro levels.

The Dome Sports is located at 334 Energy Way, Red Deer County and will be open to the public by November 1 or sooner.
