This Sunday, all city outdoor rinks will close for the season due to spring-like temperatures.
All Red Deer outdoor rinks, including Bower Ponds, will close and signage will be placed on site advising the public to stay off the ice.
The recent snowfall and warmer temperatures have created deteriorating conditions at the ice oval at Setters Place; as a result, it closed Monday.
As the ice melts, Setters Place will transition back to its summer form, ready for football, soccer and rugby.
