Stettler RCMP seize crystal methamphetamine

A 41-year-old Stettler man faces drug trafficking-related charges after RCMP discovered crystal methamphetamine while searching an apartment suite in Stettler on Wednesday.

Stettler RCMP and the RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team (CLEAR Team) executed the search, with the assistance of Stettler EMS and Stettler Regional Fire Department.

Police say a number of items were seized.

The accused was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, unsafe storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Friday.
