Stolen equipment worth $90,000 was located by police in central Alberta

Ponoka RCMP searched a rural property and recovered stolen equipment valued at nearly $90,000

Officers from Ponoka RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS), and the Ponoka and Maskwacis detachments carried out a search warrant on a rural property in Ponoka County on Dec. 17.

They found a 2019 CAT skid steer loader with a 2019 dump trailer in the yard. Both pieces of equipment were reported stolen out of Edmonton on Nov. 16. Their total value is $89,000.

Charges for possession of stolen property over $5,000 are pending.
