A Red Deer County man was arrested in connection to the theft of a pickup truck in the Innisfail area Wednesday.

The vehicle’s owner reported that his truck had just been stolen at 10:30 a.m.

Innisfail RCMP said the truck was being driven in a dangerous manner at high speeds, and they successfully used a spike belt to disable the vehicle at about 11:30 a.m.

The driver was taken into custody without incident.

Jordan Kyle Glasgow, 19, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with multiple probation conditions, and multiple provincial offences.

Glasgow was remanded in custody to appear in Red Deer provincial court on March 30.
